Auto specialist services continue to expand as the desire for more and more accessories also grows. The American culture and lifestyle indicates that such specialty items as running boards, shaved door handles, roll pans, restoration, re-chroming, pin stripping flames, graphics air brushing, glass replacement, French lights, customized paint and body work, bubble hood air scopps, brush guards, and billet grills are hot ticket items. Many automakers and independent dealers have found that being an auto specialist is an attractive market to enter. As many mergers between US specialty-parts firms and automakers has gradually pushed the automotive appearance products into the mainstream market.
The major contributors to the auto specialist market are appearance accessories, equipment for racing and sporting accessories and handling equipment products and services. Some people just want their automobiles to stand out with various products that the manufacturer does not normally provide on vehicles unless they are special custom orders. These are high ticket items but those that want them don't seem to be concerned.
